A Year of Music, Growth, and Gratitude at Abbey West Recording

As we look back on the past year here at Abbey West Recording, our hearts are full. What began as another chapter in the life of our Reno studio has unfolded into a tapestry of creativity, collaboration, and community — and none of it would have been possible without you.

We kicked things off in early 2025 with a wave of incredible projects that set the tone for what was to come. In January, False Rhythms brought their unique Rock/Reggae energy into the live room, pushing creative boundaries and reminding us how exhilarating it is to capture a band truly in their element. Bands like Share The Fire and indie icons Evening Spirits followed and brought their signature sounds to life with us too, each session adding something special to our story this year.

We were also thrilled to see a surge of rap projects come to life within our walls this year. With multiple album releases — including new work from Souldja4Christ and Jaay Biird — the hip-hop community showed up strong at Abbey West, adding even more momentum to an already incredible year.

One of the highlights of the year was celebrating milestone moments with artists we admire. In May, we marked the 35th anniversary of Lacy J. Dalton’s iconic song “Black Coffee,” capturing the heart of her legacy while celebrating what those three and a half decades have meant to her fans and the music community.

As we move into the next year, we’re more excited than ever about what’s ahead. New projects are already on the calendar, fresh sounds are shaping up in our live room, and we’re eager to keep creating alongside every one of you — whether you’re revisiting the studio for your next release or walking in for the very first time.

So thank you. Thank you for trusting us with your art, for bringing your passion into our space, and for being part of the Abbey West Recording story. This year was full of moments worth celebrating — and we’re just getting started.

Here’s to more music, more breakthroughs, and more unforgettable sound — together.  – Abbey West Teamofessional recording session. Let’s turn your musical vision into a recording that truly represents your artistry.
